Programs

You know who we are, so how about finding out what we do?

Though only a few years old, MTAA has already succeeded in raising over $4000. Our costs are kept very low so nearly all of that will be goes right back to the students of Matawan.

The first major program, announced at Matawan Legends 2009, is our MTAA Scholarship Fund. Each year, the MTAA Scholarship Committee will award two grants, the MTAA Theater Service Award and the MTAA Memorial Music Award.

With budget cuts running rampant in New Jersey, theater programs are often hit hard.  So we’ve developed an Arts Assistance Program, by which arts teachers in the Matawan Aberdeen Regional School District can request funds or personell from MTAA for any arts-related venture.

Looking forward, we are hoping to also bring Arts Education Workshops to the community, and hope to be able to launch this program in the Fall of 2011.

More will be coming soon, and we’re always looking for more great ideas, so get in touch with us!
