While the location has not been confirmed yet, we are excited to move forward with the scene selection process. Linked below you will find a fillable pdf and instructions on how to propose a scene. The deadline for preferred consideration is June 24th with the final deadline for consideration on July 1st.
This year the rehearsal process will be quite different as we will only have two rehearsals – the evening of July 8th and the morning/afternoon of July 9th. All scenes must be stage/tech ready for the rehearsal July 8th. Our hope is that this will allow for greater participation from alumni outside the immediate Matawan area.
Materials & information for group numbers will be made available prior to these rehearsals and will be staged during the dress rehearsals.
Once completed, please return the scene proposal to legends@matawantheateralumni.org.
We are interested in having all kinds of performances from solos & duets to mime & stand up comedy, trumpet solos to dance routines – if you can have it ready, we want to put it in.
Also remember that we have many other opportunities available including crew, marketing, pit, etc. If you are interested in any of these other opportunities, please email us.
Matawan Legends is our largest fundraiser every year and allows us to provide the funds for two $500 scholarships which are awarded to graduating seniors for outstanding service to the Matawan Theater and Music Departments. Even if you are unable to participate in Matawan Legends, please consider attending to help support our programs or donate through our website or though other means.
