Several years in the making, the Matawan Theater Alumni Association finally came to be in the summer of 2008. In the following months, the vision of a community of alumni driven to give back to the program they loved so much has become a mission. Thus was born an incorporated non-profit organization with the dual purpose of supporting the current MARSD performing arts programs and building a community for alumni and enthusiasts of the program.
We all remember how much the these programs meant to us at Matawan—whether you did just one show or every one possible, you became part of a family. Many of us have lamented the fact that once we graduated, there was nothing left for us to do. But now there is. By creating the Matawan Theater Alumni Association, we hope to give alumni a way to reconnect, make new friends, and give back to the program that gave us so much.
